Alexandria, Va., April 27, 2026 — The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) has selected Chelsey Sparks, PharmD candidate at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, as its 2026–2027 Executive Fellow in Health Care Association Leadership. “What led me to AMCP was realizing that I wanted to make an impact early in my career as a pharmacist, and that I wanted to be part of the conversations shaping healthcare, not just participate in care delivery, but truly influence how care is designed, evaluated, and improved,” said Sparks.  “Through my experiences in policy work, leadership roles, and exposure to different healthcare models, I developed a stronger understanding of the decision-making that happens behind the scenes around access and value, and how that ultimately shapes care.”

Chelsey will also graduate with her Master's in Health Care Informatics, bringing her expertise in informatics as the industry continues to grow rapidly! “I’m excited to build relationships, develop a stronger strategic lens, and work across teams and with stakeholders to gain a better understanding of how different priorities come together to shape meaningful outcomes. I’m also looking forward to getting more involved with initiatives like the podcast and LINK interest groups as a way to engage with members and stay close to emerging topics.”

AMCP created the Executive Fellowship in Health Care Association Leadership in January 2021 to help develop leaders in managed care pharmacy and association management by providing collaborative training and professional development. This year-long program covers a wide range of association leadership areas, including governance, strategy development and implementation, strategic communications, and operational leadership. Qualified candidates must have graduated or will graduate from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy prior to starting the fellowship.

Chelsey will begin her fellowship June 15, 2026, and will work directly with the AMCP CEO and other AMCP leaders.
