NW AMCP Managed Care Residency Roundtable
Held Nov 18, 2020
This is a 2-hour event featuring the current (2020-2021) managed care pharmacy residents of the programs located in the Pacific Northwest, such as Kaiser Permanente WA, Moda Health, PacificSource Health Plans, Premera Blue Cross, Providence Health Plans. The residents answered questions by current students and pharmacists who were interested in learning more about what a managed care residency entails and how to become a competitive managed care residency applicant.
NW AMCP Managed Care Day (Fall 2020)
Held Nov 11, 2020
The first hour of this event featured local WA state managed care organizations (Community Health Plan of Washington, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield and Premera Blue Cross) and introduced attendees to managed care concepts such as, quality measures, Medicaid, formulary management and utilization management. The second hour featured a round-table discussion with current pharmacists who completed a PGY1 Managed Care Residency Program and have since pursued various non-traditional pharmacist roles.

The NW AMCP Affiliate is excited to offer the NW AMCP Student Mentorship Program. The goal of the NW AMCP Student Mentorship Program is to provide student pharmacists in the Northwest region (WA, AK, OR, HI, ID, MT) interested in managed care with guidance on career development and the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals.
