AMCP Science & Innovation Webinars
AMCP’s Science & Innovation Webinars provide an opportunity for companies and organizations to increase awareness and visibility by presenting on topics or issues to a focused audience of managed care professionals. Webinars are conducted live. If the sponsoring company allows, the webinar recording is then posted to AMCP's Resource Center for additional exposure and serving as an additional tool for your Market Access team and others.

- While attendees do vary by topic, on average over 35% work for health plans or PBMs

AMCP PIE Webinars
Per the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) 2018 Final Guidance Document, preapproval information exchange (PIE) allows manufacturers to proactively share information with eligible healthcare decision makers (ie, payers, formulary committees, and similar entities) about products and devices that are not yet FDA-approved/cleared for use and/or unapproved uses.
AMCP PIE webinars create an opportunity to share preapproval information with healthcare decision makers to help plan for future approvals and associated early product reviews, coverage and reimbursement decisions, and budget forecasting.
Research conducted by FormularyDecisions® in 2021 found that 74% of surveyed FormularyDecisions users (N=23) reported that their organization used preapproval information in formulary decision making. Additionally, 83% reported that their organization had experience using preapproval information.

The AMCP PIE webinar offers opportunities for flexible scheduling throughout the year and uses FormularyDecisions to verify eligible registrants who review scientific and/or technology assessments to make drug or device selection or acquisition, formulary management, and/or coverage and reimbursement decisions on a population basis. Eligible participants include the following:
- Public and private sector payers (eg, third-party payers, health plan sponsors, state Medicaid programs, Medicare programs)
- Formulary committees (eg, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees)
