MTM – One Decade Down…What Will the Next Decade Bring?

Nearly 10 years ago, the Medicare Part D program began offering medication therapy management (MTM) services to beneficiaries. Today, MTM services—primarily delivered by pharmacists--are found in every segment of the health care marketplace. This webinar will review “what got us here” and provide insight for AMCP’s commitment to better understand and impact “what will get us there.”
AMCP has created an MTM Advisory Group with representation from comprehensive perspectives: health care clinicians (community/retail/chain, hospital/health system, MCOs), MTM providers, health plans, pharmacy benefit management firms, health care technology vendors, and academic representatives. The webinar will discuss the group’s progress to date, briefing on the status of Health Information Technology (HIT) standardization, and next steps for developing AMCP’s 2015-2016 goals for MTM and development of a strategic plan.
