Spirit of Volunteerism Award

DESCRIPTION:
The AMCP Spirit of Volunteerism Award, established in 1994, recognizes a current AMCP Committee Member or Affiliate Volunteer who has 1) Demonstrated exemplary and outstanding service to AMCP over the past year and 2) Provided volunteer activities that resulted in successful and/or high-quality AMCP program, projects or services for its members.

CRITERIA:
The nominee must be an AMCP member and an AMCP Committee member or Affiliate Volunteer for the committee year prior to the presentation of the award. AMCP Board of Directors members are not eligible.

NOMINATION PROCESS:
Nominations may be made by an AMCP Board Member, Committee Member, Affiliate member, or AMC staff person. Each nomination must include a nomination form and a maximum 500-word statement that describes the contributions as a committee member deemed worthy of recognition. Self-nominations are not permitted.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Nominations are considered by a selection committee composed of two AMCP Board of Directors members and one Committee chair. The selection committee is appointed by the AMCP President. The recipient is based on the information included in the nomination. 

NATURE OF AWARD:
The AMCP Spirit of Volunteerism Award is presented at the Annual Meeting. The recipient receives a plaque, complimentary registration to the AMCP Annual Meeting, and travel reimbursement (up to $1,000).
