APPE DESCRIPTION
Description of the Activities in which the Student Pharmacist will be Involved
Student pharmacists will learn basic skills in applying evidence-based medicine in a managed care environment. In addition to critiquing and appraising literature on new medications, student pharmacists are introduced to utilization management and clinical outreach activities.
APPE Length
The experience is structured as a 4 or 6 week rotation.
APPE Schedule
We accept student pharmacists at most times during the year. Please contact site by October 1 of the year before your rotations are to begin.
IPPE DESCRIPTION
The site does not offer an IPPE.
SITE LOGISTICS
Site Capacity
The site can accommodate one (1) student pharmacists per rotation block.
State and School/College Preference
School must have an affiliation agreement with our site. We currently have agreements with Oregon State University and Pacific University.
Housing
Site does not provide housing or housing assistance.
Student Pharmacist Prerequisites Prior to the Rotation Start
Background and drug screen are required prior to start of rotation.
Affiliation Agreement Required by Site
Site requires that the school/college sign an affiliation agreement.
