Educational/Special Requirements
-Graduation from from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy before July 1st of the fellowship term
-Be a US citizen or permanent resident
-Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Texas
-Excellent communication skills and experience in health care research and data analytics preferred
Special Features
Baylor Scott & White Health, in conjunction with the University of Texas (UT) College of Pharmacy, offers this two-year fellowship to prepare talented individuals with a strong interest in pursuing a career in Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) for positions in areas including managed care, pharmaceutical industry, consulting and academia.
Fellows actively support the health system by conducting and presenting analyses on health data to various committees, lending their research expertise to residents and physicians, and collaborating with pharmaceutical industry to develop large, population health research.
In addition, our fellows earn a Master of Science degree in Health Outcomes from the Division of Health Outcomes at the UT College of Pharmacy upon completion of required didactic courses and successful thesis defense.
