Annie (Rakoczy) Schuster discovered her passion for managed care pharmacy during her first year at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy. A dedicated member of AMCP for more than 20 years, she has contributed extensively, including chair of the Educational Affairs, Professional Practice, and Schools of Pharmacy Relations Committees, serving on the Organizational Affairs Committee, and participating as a Diplomat and Conference Buddy. She is currently serving her second term on the AMCP Board of Directors.

Following her residency, Annie spent more than 18 years leading clinical pharmacy programs at Medicare health plan HealthSpring/Cigna/HCSC. In this role, she oversaw the development and maintenance of formulary and medical drug strategies, as well as pharmacy quality improvement initiatives. She also served as Cigna Medicare’s Residency Program Director for 15 years and precepted APPE students and AMCP Foundation interns, continuing the tradition of developing future leaders—just as many AMCP members supported her own growth. In 2026, Annie joined AnewHealth as Vice President of Clinical Effectiveness & Stars Experience. In this role, she partners with Payers to enhance support for medically complex patients through the ExactCare Pharmacy and their clinical pharmacy services.
