House Judiciary Committee Holds Hearing on Medicines and Intellectual Property

On May 21, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet held a hearing titled: “Medicines and IP: Balancing Innovation and Access.” The hearing examined policies and issues around the United States patent system, generic and biosimilar drug competition under the Hatch-Waxman Act, and maintaining domestic innovation in the drug development space.
