AMCP 2010-2011 Ballot Brochure
The AMCP 2010-2011 Ballot Brochure is now available. The Ballot Brochure provides information about those AMCP members slated as AMCP Board candidates. For this AMCP election cycle, the Committee on Nominations was charged with slating six candidates to fill three Director slots and two candidates for President-Elect. The 2010-2011 Ballot Brochure includes each candidates biographical sketch, their platform statement and response to two strategic questions. AMCP Joins Pharmacy Stakeholders in Seeking AHRQ Meeting to Discuss MTM Grant Program
The Academy joined other national organizations in seeking a meeting with Carolyn M. Clancy, M.D., Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), to discuss provisions in pending health care reform legislation that would establish a medication therapy management (MTM) grant program. The program would fall under the purview of AHRQ. The groups say they intend to pursue the resources necessary to implement this grant program in this Congress and express their hope that Clancy also will support its scope and purpose. AMCP Issues Summary of White House Health Care Reform Summit
The Academy has released two documents summarizing the Feb. 25 White House Heath Care Reform Summit. The brief summary encapsulates the key issues discussed and debated at the event. The full summary provides a synopsis of the remarks made during the full-day summit by President Obama and Democratic and Republican lawmakers. The document also includes a list of attendees.
