Partnership Forum: New health care innovations are bringing the promise of life changing treatment for specific diseases. It is imperative that financial models for innovative, high-investment medications be developed to maintain patient access. AMCP brought together thought leaders in July 2018 to discuss the issues and solutions needed on this key issue.
Partnership Forum: AMCP’s second event focusing on value in oncology, builds on results of last year’s forum as well as recent research on gaps in measuring outcomes in oncology care and new cancer medicines.
Partnership Forum: Industry leaders convened on October 19, 2017 to discuss this important issue. They found broad consensus on the importance of patient reported outcomes (PRO) in defining value.
Partnership Forum: This forum on Advancing Value-Based Contracting, which took place on June 20-21, 2017, resulted in important consensus on addressing the operational, legal and regulatory changes needed to fully leverage this new payment system for health care.
In January 2017, AMCP co-sponsored a conference with the PhRMA Foundation on the use of CER and PCOR by patients, clinicians, and payers. The conference centered on existing strategies to enhance uptake and use of CER/PCOR, as well as the needs and gaps in the uptake and use of CER/PCOR evidence.
