U.S. citizenship or legally authorized to work indefinitely in the U.S., Pharm.D. degree from an accredited pharmacy school or college, licensed to practice pharmacy in California, personal statement/letter of intent, current curriculum vitae, official pharmacy school academic transcript (with 4th year, 1st semester grades posted), 3 letters of recommendation (sent directly to OptumRx), and onsite interview. Four weeks paid vacation and paid holidays. Professional leave to attend conferences. Reimbursement for expenses from professional meetings.
The resident will have the unique opportunity to rotate through various departments at OptumRx including: industry relations, clinical services (formulary management, drug information, utilization management), prior authorization, client management, pharmacy audit, mail service and specialty pharmacy. The resident will also have a pharmaceutical industry rotation.
