The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) is writing to express concerns with specific provisions of LB 481 regarding the regulation of biological products and the substitution of interchangeable biological products when dispensed by pharmacists.

On February 1, 2017, CMS released its 2018 Draft Call Letter. Overall, the Draft Call Letter does not contain any major changes that are of serious concern to managed care pharmacy. However,
there are several provisions worth noting, such as changes to Star Ratings and efforts to reduce opioid overutilization.
In January 2017, AMCP co-sponsored a conference with the PhRMA Foundation on the use of CER and PCOR by patients, clinicians, and payers. The conference centered on existing strategies to enhance uptake and use of CER/PCOR, as well as the needs and gaps in the uptake and use of CER/PCOR evidence.
