Christina Barrington, PharmD, vice president and chief pharmacy officer at Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan serving more than 1.3 million members, has been sworn in as president of the Board of Directors for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) for 2024-2025.
The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) today launched the AMCP Research Institute (ARI), a research-based resource that will conduct and facilitate projects important to the mission of managed care pharmacy. Incorporating AMCP’s existing Biologics & Biosimilars Collective Intelligence Consortium (BBCIC), the ARI will expand the scope of research opportunities for AMCP, thereby helping to advance the larger goal of improving public health in the United States.
The 2024 AMCP Legislative Days event provides AMCP members with an opportunity to meet with their Members of Congress and their staff, and to advocate for policies that improve the practice of managed care pharmacy nationwide.
The aim of the AMCP Format is to identify comprehensive evidence and information elements that meet the evidentiary needs of HCDMs. The AMCP Format is designed to encourage sharing of objective, credible, and relevant information on medical products.
AMCP Foundation partners with Moda Health and Novo Nordisk Inc., launching a Health Disparities Research Internship and selects Daria Sinclair of Howard University to be the first Health Disparities Research Intern.
