Your benefits of membership include:
  • Network with colleagues and other health care professionals at AMCP's two annual conferences, or through year-round committee work.
  • Certify your expertise as a patient care-giver. Share ideas, exchange information and learn from experts. AMCP offers over 30 hours of Continuing Education credits at our two annual meetings, and now features an online CE service free to members. CE credits from any source can be tracked online for convenient record keeping at the AMCP.org CE Learning Center.
  • Shape the future of pharmacy. AMCP members on the Legislative and Legislative and Regulatory committees work on issues of importance to the profession year-round. Each Spring, active members join their colleagues in Washington, DC, for a program of Congressional appointments and activities.
  • Learn leadership skills. At AMCP's two annual conferences or at our summer Leadership Training Institute taught by the faculty of the nationally recognized College of Pharmacy at the University of Southern California at Los Angeles.
  • Gain management expertise. Choose an AMCP Residency Program in a variety of managed care environment.
  • Obtain discounts for AMCP conferences, events and exclusive publications. Membership more than pays for itself in the first meeting you attend.
  • Visit our on-line Career Center. Members have exclusive access to professional opportunities on our website or in our monthly newsletter.
  • Free publications on managed care. Membership includes a free subscription the peer-reviewed Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy, our monthly AMCP News and members-only access to our Weekly News email.
  • AMCP stays on top of the issues. State legislative updates are provided in our members-only area of the website to keep you informed of the issues that affect you.


    Membership Types:
  • Pharmacist Members have full voting rights and the privilege of serving on any AMCP committee or running for any AMCP office.
  • Health Care Practitioner (Non-Pharmacist) Members are MDs and RNs working in a managed care environment or with interest in managed care pharmacy.
  • Associate Members are all other individuals interested in the advancement and development of managed care principles.
  • Student Members must be enrolled in an undergraduate program of studies at an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Resident/Fellow/Graduate Members must be enrolled in an AMCP-recognized post-graduate program.
