AMCP Foundation 25th Anniversary Celebration at AMCP Nexus 2015  

AMCP Foundation celebrated it's silver anniversary at AMCP Nexus 2015. The debut of the commemorative video highlighting the Foundation's accomplishments over the past 25 years started the celebration. It continued with the Scavenger Hunt that took attendees on a journey through Foundation history. Capping off the festivities, AMCP hosted a Foundation birthday party with beach-themed activities and a live Jimmy Buffett-style band.

 

AMCP Foundation Second Annual 5k at AMCP's 27th Annual Meeting & Expo  

The second annual AMCP Foundation 5k for the Future was a tremendous success! Close to 300 attendees had the chance to have some fun, show off their running (or walking) skills, and gain some bragging rights.

The run/walk began and ended in Embarcadero Park South on the waterside of the San Diego Convention Center. The course offered beautiful views of its breathtaking waterfront and was within walking distance of the hotels and convention facilities.

Medals were awarded in several categories. Brad Clay was the First Place Male Runner and Ruth Seiffert was the First Place Female Runner. Both won and beat their times from 2014. This year also marked the first team competition. The winners were: 

  • The Fastest Team The Humanimals “Humana” 
  • The Team with Most Overall Funds Raised The Baxter Spark “Baxter Pharmaceuticals” 
  • The Team with the Most Participants Takeda Pharmaceuticals 
  • The Team with the Most Team Spirit The Humanimals “Humana” 

Proceeds will be used to support the AMCP Foundation’s research and education programs.

AMCP Foundation 5K for the Future Fun-Run and 1K Walk was supported by Alkermes and Veridicus Health.

 

AMCP Foundation Casino Night at AMCP's 27th Annual Meeting & Expo   

Close to 300 attendees ended their Thursday activities from AMCP's 27th Annual Meeting & Expo at the AMCP Foundation’s Casino Night aboard the historic aircraft carrier USS Midway. The night started with fireworks on the flight deck and then the attendees enjoyed a variety of casino-type games. Participants were able to appreciate the museum exhibits which included 19 different aircrafts, communicate with museum docents, and experience flight simulators.

Casino Night donations supported research and education goals of the AMCP Foundation.

AMCP Foundation Casino Night was supported by Amgen and Xcenda.

AMCP Foundation Fundraiser at Fenway Park  

As part of the AMCP Foundation's first annual appeal campaign, a donor appreciation and fundraising event was held at the world famous Fenway Park in Boston on October 9, 2014. Over 130 donors and guests networked in the private Owner's Box at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, enjoyed ballpark style refreshments and in exchange for donations took a crack at bat in the Red Sox batting cage. Biogen Idec was the event sponsor, and its corporate name and logo, along with the AMCP Foundation, were displayed in lights on the famed Green Monster Scoreboard in Fenway's centerfield.


AMCP Foundation Casino Night at AMCP's 26th Annual Meeting & Expo 

To recognize donors, the AMCP Foundation hosted a Casino Night on April 3, 2014, which included more than 150 donors who enjoyed a variety of casino-type games. Foundation President, Annette Boyer, thanked donors for their support and announced a grant from Allergan, Inc. to support the Foundation's research activities.
 

Inaugural AMCP Foundation 5K for the Future at AMCP's 26th Annual Meeting & Expo 

Over 200 runners and walkers joined AMCP Foundation staff in Cotanchobee Park in downtown Tampa on April 3, 2014 for the inaugural AMCP Foundation 5K for the Future. The $30 registration fee proceeds went towards support for the AMCP Foundation's research program. Prizes were awarded in a number of categories, including the overall fastest runner. Congratulation to Brad Clay and Ruth Seiffert who walked away with the top prize in their two classes. 

Joining the foundation in this event was Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Systems as a general sponsor, and Veridicus Health as a shirt sponsor.
