     IBD Therapies: Guidance for Managed Care Professionals    

     
    Looking for an online resource on a growing health care challenge in managed care? IBD Therapies: Guidance for Managed Care Professionals was developed through the strategic collaboration between the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and Medscape Education. This discussion will provide perspective on the clinical and financial aspects of medical treatments for moderate to severe inflammatory bowel disease, which are increasingly centered around biologic agents, with a focus for formulary decision-makers in health plans and PBMs. CME/CE certified for physicians and pharmacists, the program includes downloadable slides.  
     
    This interactive activity includes expert perspectives intended for managed care professionals on the use of agents used in managing moderate to severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).   
     

    Learning Objectives  

     
    Upon completion of this activity, participants will have increased knowledge regarding the: 
     
    1.  Differences in conventional and newer IBD therapies in the context of evolving treatment goals for IBD 
    2.  Individualization of treatment therapy for IBD using the latest clinical evidence 
    3.  Management of IBD that aligns with current needs and maximizes cost effectiveness and patient outcomes
