Building the Foundation for Patient-Reported Outcomes: Infrastructure and Methodologies

During the 2017 PRO Forum stakeholders created an "ideal state for PROs." In addition, consensus was reached on two overarching issues: the importance of PROs in defining value, improving patient care, and implementing value-based payment model, and the need for strong organizational and operational systems to achieve optimal adoption and use. The focus of 2018 PRO forum will be to identify tactics to achieve the "ideal state."

GOAL: Create an action plan to implement recommendations from the "AMCP ideal state" for PROs at each stage of development and use.

Integrated Delivery Network’s Role in Value-Based Agreements for Pharmacy and Medical Benefits

Implementing value-based reimbursement models for both pharmaceuticals and medical care poses significant challenges and opportunities, and depends on integrated delivery networks (IDNs) to execute the processes and programs.

GOAL: Develop key recommendations and actions to enable IDNs to drive value-based reimbursement, and gain a better understanding of opportunities for MCOs, ACOs and IDNs to collaborate to drive improvements in health care outcomes.
