Chernov is the Medical Director of Medical Policy and Quality at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, and is the first physician to serve the Foundation in this position.

Other Foundation Board officers elected to the two-year term were:

Also named to the Board as trustee for the two-year term is Matthew Hurlburt, leader of Customer Marketing at Pfizer, Inc.

"The AMCP Foundation is privileged to have the dedicated service of these outstanding individuals who are recognized for their expertise and leadership in the health care system,” said Edith A. Rosato, RPh, IOM, Foundation Chairman and AMCP’s CEO. “As we move into our next quarter century of service, the Foundation is poised to launch new initiatives to further advance managed care pharmacy’s patient care services.”

AMCP Foundation programming in 2014 included an extensive research project on the U.S. health care system that culminated in a widely cited report, “Ahead of the Curve: Top 10 Emerging Health Care Trends,” released in October 2014. Another major project was the Foundation’s annual symposium, held at Nexus 2014 in Boston, that focused on specialty pharmacy and patient care. The event brought together leading experts in specialty pharmacy practice and drew significant press coverage. In addition, the Foundation each year sponsors the popular National Pharmaceutical & Therapeutics (P&T) Competition, which draws dozens of teams from schools of pharmacy across the country.
