Educational/Special Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with experiential or internship based experience in managed care pharmacy practice preferred. The applicant should have pharmacist licensure by September 1 of the program year and be able to work in a team or individual capacity to achieve requirements for managed care residency certification. Applicants must submit the following materials to PhORCAS by the deadline: Current resume or curriculum vitae accompanied by a personal statement of career goals, pharmacy school transcripts, and three letters of recommendation. Candidates must participate in the ASHP Match Program.

The one year Residency in Anthem’s Managed Care Pharmacy consists of activities that will allow the resident to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the organization to strengthen clinical, professional, business and personal skills. This program is divided into required educational outcomes that determine how instructional activities are organized. A variety of activities have been designed within each of the required educational outcomes themes to ensure that residents are gaining exposure in all components of managed care Pharmacy.
