Matthew W. Hurlburt

Matt Hurlburt is the leader of Customer Marketing supporting Pfizer’s three commercial business units.  This innovative market access function seeks to understand the complexities of the evolving healthcare market and the interdependencies among payers, organized providers and healthcare professionals in an effort to develop effective strategies, value propositions and market engagement tactics.  

With over 23 years at Pfizer, Matt has held various leadership positions in sales and marketing and is adept at identifying solutions that best demonstrate the value of medicines while meeting the demands of the market. 

Matt’s group plays a key role in fulfilling Pfizer’s commitment to expanding access to reliable, affordable health care around the world. The group has been recognized in numerous syndicated reports and has also received Pfizer’s only platinum-level Hermes Creative Award.  Throughout his career, Matt has been recognized as a motivational leader, was a recipient of the CEO Bill Steere Leadership and Pfizer Great Leader awards and was a member of the Pfizer Global Leader Council.

Prior to joining Pfizer, Matt was an officer in the 101st Airborne Division where he served with distinction and received a Meritorious Service Medal and a Bronze Star for combat operations in Desert Storm.  He received his BS of Finance from Marquette University and his Master of Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.
