AMCP confers awards to recognize members and non-members who have made significant contributions to the profession of managed care pharmacy and to AMCP. Award recipients are publicly recognized at AMCP's Annual Meeting & Expo.

Nominations are now open for the 2012 Awards. Members are encouraged to nominate their peers who have gone above and beyond in service to their profession and AMCP. Individuals may also self nominate for many awards.

AMCP Student Chapter Member of the Year Awards Best Poster Awards
The FMCP Best Poster Awards for Student Pharmacists and Resident/Fellows were established in 2002 to recognize the best poster by a Student Pharmacist and a Resident/Fellow presented at the AMCP Annual Meeting and Expo.

Distinguished Service Award
The AMCP Distinguished Service Award was established in 1994 as the AMCP Leadership Award. In 2001 its name was changed to the Distinguished Service Award. The Award recognizes an AMCP member who has made exceptional and sustained contributions to AMCP over at least a five year period.

Fellow (FAMCP) Program
The Fellows program was established to acknowledge sustained excellence in the pharmacy profession, grant recognition for exceptional contributions, long term commitment and active participation in the Academy.

Grassroots Advocacy Award
The AMCP Grassroots Advocacy Award was established in 2007 to recognize an individual or group responsible for significant activity around a grassroots cause.

Individual Contribution Award
The AMCP Individual Contribution Award was established in 2007 to recognize an AMCP member making a significant contribution to the Academy by any means other than service as an AMCP Committee Member.

The Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy (JMCP) Award for Excellence was established in 2002 to recognize an article that represents the best scholarly work in managed care pharmacy.

Spirit of Volunteerism Award
The AMCP Spirit of Volunteerism Award, established in 1994, recognizes a current AMCP Committee Member who has: 1) demonstrated exemplary and outstanding service to AMCP over the past year.

Steven G. Avey Award
The Steven G. Avey Award (previously titled The Foundation Award for Achievement) was established in 2001 to recognize an AMCP member for sustained, exemplary and distinguished service to the profession of managed care pharmacy.
