2017 P&T Competition Award Recipients

The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Foundation proudly announced the recipients of its 17th Annual National Student Pharmacist Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Competition during the AMCP Foundation Awards Ceremony. Awards were presented on Thursday, March 30 at the AMCP Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting in Denver.

Eight finalist teams were selected from 12 AMCP Student Chapters that advanced to the second round of the semi-finals. The finalists represented Mercer University, Ohio Northern University, Touro University - California, University of North Carolina Eschelman School of Pharmacy, University of Iowa, University of Minnesota, University of the Pacific and University of Washington.

 AMCP members served as the volunteer judges and evaluated each team's case study submission and presentations during the finalist competition. The 2017 P&T Competition drug was Xeljanz® (tofacitinib citrate), manufactured by Pfizer, Inc. The competition was made possible through the generous support of Genentech, Inc. Amgen, Inc, Supernus Pharmaceuticals, Dymaxium, and AMCP/eDossier System. The awards were presented by our generous sponsors.
